Lukodi-massacre memorial site,
The Lukodi Massacre Memorial Site stands as a solemn reminder of a dark chapter in Ugandan history. Located approximately 17 kilometres north of Gulu town in northern Uganda, the site commemorates the brutal massacre that took place on May 19, 2004. The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) rebels raided Lukodi village, killing over 60 people in cold blood. A monument was erected in 2005 to Honor the victims, with the names of 45 of those killed inscribed on it.

The Awach Catholic Mission was likely situated near the Awach River in Gulu, northern Uganda. There's a news reference suggesting the mission was evacuated by the NRA (National Resistance Army) in 1987 due to insecurity during the LRA insurgency (1986-2006).
